INSA and UPHF host the regional MATh.en.JEANS conference
From March 27 to 29, INSA and UPHF will host the 34th MATh.en.JEANS conference. About 300 students will come, from Hauts-de-France and Luxembourg, to present the results of their mathematical research.
The 2023 regional congress of MATh.en.JEANS will be held at UPHF from March 27 to 29, in the INSA premises, specifically the Abel de Pujol 1 building.
The principle of MATh.en.JEANS is to have small groups of students work, during the school year, on open mathematical topics, within their reach but difficult for them. The topics are proposed by "real" researchers and should allow them to discover, at their own scale, the uncertainty and the pleasures of research. As a conclusion of the action, the students present their results during a congress, in front of their peers, their teachers and the researchers who proposed the topics. They also attend age-appropriate lectures by researchers.
.Our congress will bring together workshops from Hauts-de-France, and three institutions from Luxembourg will join us.
We would be happy to welcome you there. For example at the opening of the congress, Monday 27 from 10:30 to 11:00 am, amphi 300S.
But also, at your leisure, during the congress, to visit the forum (the equivalent of the posters of a scientific conference) or to attend the students' presentations.
A provisional program is already online on the congress page, it will be specified soon.
